1958

M. M. Stepp & Louis M. Watkins purchase assets of bankrupt sheet metal shop for $5,000 and set up shop at 2409 White Settlement Road in Fort Worth, Texas. The company is named using the middle initials of the two Partners.

1961

M&M opens small shop in 1,500 sq/ft., former grocery store in Wichita Falls, Texas.

1962

M&M erects first company owned building (4,300 sq/ft.) building at 117 Vacek, Fort Worth. Company grows to four employees.

1963

Rod Stepp joins company and becomes Managing Partner.

1964

Mike (Butch) Stepp joins company and later becomes a Partner.

1965/69

Fort Worth plant expands to 14,000 sq/ft.

1971

First company owned Wichita Falls building – 7,500 sq/ft., at 523 Beverly Drive.

1973

New 24,000 sq/ft., company facility constructed at 200 Adolph Street in Fort Worth. M&M purchases first coil processing line.

1976

Company acquires Barnes Sheet Metal in Pleasant Grove – a Rectangular Duct Shop with 12 employees.

1979

Fort Worth plant expands to 34,000 sq/ft.

1980

Dallas plant moves from rented building in Pleasant Grove to new company owned 13,600 sq/ft. plant at 10880 Bekay Street in Dallas.

1982

Fort Worth Adolph plant expands to 55,000 sq/ft.

1982/84

Dallas Bekay plant expands to 40,000 sq/ft.

1988

M&M purchases bankrupt competitor in Dallas and moves assets to rented facility at 520 Ted Street in Houston, Texas and starts from scratch manufacturing duct pipe and fittings

1993

Dallas Bekay plant expands to 84,000 sq/ft.

1996

Houston plant moves to newly constructed company owned 40,000 sq/ft. facility located at 5555 Guhn Road.

1999/2000

M&M builds new 210,000 sq/ft. plant and corporate home office at 4001 Mark IV Parkway in Fort Worth.

2000

Adolph Street location becomes separate division with product lines of plan and spec ductwork and general sheet metal products.

S. Shiloh – Dallas Plant

2002

Dallas Bekay plant relocates to renovated 170,000 sq/ft. building at 360 S. Shiloh in Garland, Texas.

2007

TGF Management Corp. announces the recapitalization of M&M in support of the Company’s continued growth. Wichita Falls production is relocated to Fort Worth.

2008

Expansion completed at Adolph plant location. 23,000 sq/ft. added for increased weld capacity.

2010

M&M acquires Wilkins Corporation, Little Rock, AR.

2014

M&M opens new HVAC multi-purpose manufacturing plant in Austin, TX

2016

M&M Manufacturing Company acquired Snappy, a leading supplier of metal duct systems for the residential HVAC market, on December 15th, 2016.
